So my sister and I have been going for the same internship, she got a call today saying she was not selected, and even though I interviewed before her, I didnt get a call today. I'm cautiously optimistic that this is a good thing. But who knows...

Yeah...
I was hoping we'd both get internships there, both knowing someone and not having to deal with car conflicts would have been nice. But now, it could be really awkward.

I didn't know you were in the same major, anyways...
Time to play the waiting game. While we all wait, what internship was it?

It's a test. The company is seeing if you'll choose the internship or your family.

Well, kinda. She doesnt have a specific major set aside, and any semi-relevant experience is worth its weight in gold in today's market.
And it was one at Quicken.

A few years ago I interviewed for a job at a Fortune 20 company I won't name. Their HR department sucked. They didn't tell me I was rejected until 6 months later.

Experience seems to be the most important requirement these days that's for sure. Quicken, if I remember right, is somewhat of an "limited employer" when it comes to internships correct?
Also, I love the GT1

I'm looking at applying there sometime in the future. How was the process?

For the internship it was really straight forward.
You just apply to whatever you want, optional cover letter. There are three interviews first one is very basic to see if they like you, second is also pretty basic and they see if you are a fit for anything they have available, third, which is the one I'm waiting to see if I get, is an in department interview.
